The Osage County Agritourism Council operates a website and maintains an active social media presence. Sponsors are featured through these outlets within our network. Marketing opportunities increase incrementally with each sponsorship level.

Networking

The Osage County Agritourism Council members are interested in promoting agritourism in Osage County. Regular meetings throughout the year provide opportunites to network.

Advocacy

The Osage County Agritourism Council’s mission is to open our doors to showcase Osage County’s unique communities, heritage, agricultural lifestyle and products. The council will explore cooperative efforts to leverage Osage County’s resources for the benefit of people of the county and visitors.

Dear Residents and Businesses of Osage County

Like many locally based community organizations, everything we do needs the support of our community, both the businesses and the residents that support them. Agritourism is an important piece of a rural community and its economic growth, and one we are proud to be a part of.

We are asking you to join us in our effort to highlight Osage County’s unique communities, our heritage, the amazing and enviable agricultural lifestyle and the products that come straight from our fertile fields and creative minds.

We are trying to stay current by keeping our website up to date and using it to invite many visitors to get their first look at what we have to offer online. We have attracted well over 100,000 unique visitors to our Visit Osage County website with work plans in place to improve access for both visitors and link businesses. That speaks well for the website itself, but mostly for what makes Osage County what it is – you!

Some of our projects in the past have included;

· Bus tours in the county, both “Be-a-Tourist-in-Your-Own-County” and tours the council solicits and arranges from outside the county, generating a significant amount of tourism income to churches and businesses.

· The council completed the first Scenic Driving Tour map of northeastern Osage County, and plans to extend the project to all areas and communities. Your help will be needed to make it happen. This is an exciting tool and one we imagine will have an incredible impact on our county in the near future.
